The Laguna Playhouse tickets & upcoming events

Looking for a cozy spot that’s got a real community vibe? The Laguna Playhouse in Laguna Beach is just the place. This theater isn’t just about the big shows, it’s where local talent gets their shot, like when they hosted the inaugural Orange County production of 'The Musical' back in 2016. The place has been a launchpad for aspiring scriptwriters, thanks to its scriptwriters’ residency program that started way back in 2004. I mean, they even revamped the actors’ waiting area in 1990 to make it more welcoming, because let’s be honest, who wants to hang out in a drab space before they go on stage? And get this, in 2010 they opened an outdoor stage that’s perfect for summer concerts and community gatherings. Just a heads up, the musical pit is reserved for performers only, so don’t expect to sneak in there. The accessible seats at the back are pretty decent too, offering a good view without breaking the bank. If you’re coming from the local library, just stroll south along the coast highway and turn onto Laguna Street, easy peasy. Whether you're into intimate performances, lively concerts, or family-friendly shows, the Laguna Playhouse has something for everyone. And hey, if you’re looking to snag the best seats, their interactive seating chart is super helpful, from front-row thrill rides to budget-friendly options. Trust me, this place is a hidden gem with a little bit of everything, so why not check out what’s happening and support your local arts scene?
